I'm annoyed by trek. Especialy DS9. DS9 has to be in my opinion the best Trek series but it has one fatal flaw in the later episodes (season 6 and 7). Sisko gos out with a black woman. Is this not totally ridiculous seeing as there are many inter-species relationships you would've thought that humans would mingle more freely with each other (racialy). Now there is o'briens relationship with keiko but the writers fel pressured for some reason to alway pair sisko off with a black woman. Why? This is almost as bad as not having any black people in Trek because of it segregating off Black people from others. People will say that Trek has broken barriers and it has e.g uhura kirk thing. But perhaps it has hit a wall with this and also in homosexuality?

As Dr. Sigmund Freud (from TNG episode "Phantasms") would say, people are attracted to women who look like their mother.
There's nothing weird or unusual about that in any century. It's not racist, it's just a natural attraction to people who look familiar.

One thing that bugged me about the old series was that their were no black people among the alien races.
