Hello, I'm new to this board, but not Star Trek. I started watching this iconic trilogy since I was 4 yrs old, (1974) and have not stopped since. (Saturday morning cartoon was the bomb!) A lot has been said about the new movie, and some has been negative. I thought it was awesome. The alternate time-line was done to perfection, the presence of Spock Prime let us all know that the origonal universe was still out there., and I thought our beloved characters were done right by the new young actors. Lets face it, the franchise needed to open up the windows and let in the fresh air. New blood is always needed to shake things up. I did go in a little skeptical, but came out exited to see it a third time soon.
