Season 1 Episode 9 "Miri"
"Never trust anyone over 316"
Lord of the flies in space episode. Traumatized teens running the 1960s. What a horror story for the time. The children only come around when they realize they have become the very thing they feared... their parents.
I found it amazing that with their adult lives ahead them and all of space before them, the best society can do is send them teachers, and leave them on a rotting planet? "You did a bad job running the Earth, now go to school!"
How heroic is Bones for taking the serum before it is tested? What did he have to look forward to, three days of going crazy and death? It would have played better if he spit in Spock's face and injected the syringe in front of him.
Final Note: I always get a kick out if these away teams. Why would they send Yeoman Rand? Did they think Kirk might want a hot beverage, or sign a report?
