I had a theory that capt Kirk in the first Star Trek movie aided in the creation of the BORG. Check this out at the end of the movie he helped create a new cyborgnetic race with a human atribute but a desire to improve itself --right? They said that the satellite probe 'Voyager' ended up on the other side of the galaxy ( is that a coincidence ? I think not!) Even when Kirk is trying to theorize about attacking the alien ship he is told by none other than the 'logical' vulcan Spock that 'Resistance would be Futile"( Now I know that is not a coincidence) What do you all think?

Does sound a bit of a link there. I've heard that theory before. Though I've also heard that the Borg existed for a few hundred years before Kirk and co met V'Ger. Though, maybe the V'Ger met the Borg and they helped it return to Earth?

Well I'm not convinced by the V'Ger-Borg theory. Too many holes.

But it would be intersting to find out what the machine planet was and what happened to V'ger after the movie ended. Might clear a few things up with this Borg theory.

The great pretender only encountered the borg ,but was no way responible for the creation
to quote spock "Captain we have ,witnessed the birth of a new race"-Star trek the motion picture.
The changeling is the first time, the borg are encountered ,not as a race or a species . But via the probe Nomad. If you have the star trek bible . Try looking it up the facts are there . TNG fans seem to think that There was no one before Picard ,Well Picard left the Great James T Kirk to die on Veridian III. He could have saved him . I guess Picard was not man enough to show some compassion .

The facts are the only probe to reach interstellar space was pioneer 10 ( Which is what V'ger is basedNomad-Early Robotic intersteller probe launched 2002 from Earth on a mission to seek out new life forms. Roughly cylindrical in shape ,weighing approx 500Kg and measuring 1 meter in length . Nomad ws created by earth scientist Jackson Royston Kirk . Nomad was pressumed destroyed in flight by a meteor collison .It was later learned that Nomad had collided with an Alien space probe called Tan Ru .The resulting collision resulted in a deadly combination .Nomads new purpose was to assimilate and sterilize new life forms ,assimilate new life forms it deemed as imperfect biological infestations .Nomad destroyed the Malurian system in 2267 and shortly there after attacked the "Enterprise". Nomad destroyed itself ,having came to the realization that Captain kirk was not its creator the changling story which is the base for ST.MP and the borg ) here is the evidence .Its now up to some TNG fan to dispute it I present my evidence ..

Don't think so.
It disappoints me that in the new Borg Fan Collective they don't show us or tell us about the original species that created the Borg. They should create some episodes that will explain the full history of the Borg it would clear alot up.

There will always be people out there like wolfie and your self who have never seen Star trek TOS ,which is more entertaining than TNG or voyager . Voyager is a copy as is TNG (TNG is dire ) Star trek started to fall apart not with soundtrack to Enterprise as wolfie started to to speculate. Star trek died the day Rick Berman Alienated the star trek fans ,by killing of Captain Kirk and starting to re-write star trek history .
This is quite obvious is you watch "Enterprise" as things dont make sense or draw any logical conclusion . To anyone who can give me proof that Kirks encounter with nomad ,was not the first encounter with the borg. Until then I will air my opinion
