There is much speculation about ,a new movie . But being honest and open and not being biased .After the flop that was "Nemesis". Does anyone think that the Production should have a crew that understands the values of Star trek . There has been seeveral great directors in the past ,Harve Bennet ,Gene Roddenberry to name two . For Star trek to be as credible as it was before TNG and Rick berman insulted the and alienated the fanbase . There needs to be a fresh start fresh blood someone who is a fan . The ideals and morals have been lost ,Nemesis is proof of this and the death knell for Star trek was sounded not with enterprise, but as far back as generations. This could be seen as an epitah or a disgruntled fan sounding off . That I will leave you

There are so many novels written about star trek ,surely it would be interesting when they do bounce back ,what they would chose as a story and which crew . There is a crew who are unknown to alot due they have yet to make there debut on the screen . Anyone who reads the novels will know who I mean .
The adventures of the USS Excalibur ,nothing to do with TNG or DS9 but the crew would be fresh after all , its a big place the universe .

Actually, Gene Roddenberry was a writer, not a director. And he and Rick Berman created "The Next Generation" together, so they both get equal blame and/or credit for everything that is right/wrong with "Star Trek" since 1987. And the one movie that they let Roddenberry write, "The Motion Picture," was the biggest stinker of them all. That's a case for not letting fans (or series creators) produce the movies. They are too close to the subject to realize that their story is lame.

It is not lame. The motion picture was a first attempt and I agree the Borg are old hat. Anyway. They alienated it when they made the 11th movie

Um...hi.
I was reading through the Star Trek XI factoids...and there is a slightly confusing wording..
This seemed the best place.
Factoid: A vaccination against viral infection from Melvaran mud fleas includes the symptoms of loss of vision, headache, sweating, nausea, swollen hands, and a numb tongue.
This makes it sound like these are common sideffects, while swollen hands and numb tounge are allergic reactions.
Um....yeah. That's why I picked nitpicky as my username. I have OCD and that wording just sounded odd.
Oh, and my parent is an English teacher.

I like the new Star Trek movie. It was a breath of fresh air.
On the subject of Star Trek TMP: I thought was okay, and most of its problems were with the editing, not the writing. I would say there are two or three Star Trek films worse than it. Nemesis would be my choice for number one.
