STAR TREK FAN WRITING CONTEST - MOVING PICTURES MAGAZINE
Eric Bana, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Winona Ryder, Anton Yelchin and a dozen other notable and Nimoyish names star in Star Trek opening around the globe in May 2009!
Moving Pictures is offering you the chance to have your fan voice heard, win cash and have your words printed in our Spring Issue on newsstands at the time the film opens!
Write us an essay: put pen to paper, fingertips to keyboards and let us know, in 1000 words or less, who the Trek are you?
If you need help getting started, here are some topics to consider:
Star Trek vs Star Trek Zero vs Star Trek XI - What's in a name?
Star Trek vs Star Wars - is there any real competition anymore?
Is JJ Abrams, creator of Cloverfield, "Lost" and "Alias" the right man for this job? Why? If not, then who was?
Is it an unforgivable error not to have Shatner in the film?
Bana, Pegg, Pine, Quinto, Saldana, Ryder, Yelchin, Cho, Greenwood - did they get casting right all across the board? Who would have or could have been better? Anyone?
Does the movie violate or uphold the sacred Star Trek canon?
Can the movie only truly be appreciated in conjunction with the new comic books?
Who is the greatest Star Trek fan you ever met? What made them so great? Do you have a photo to go with your words?
What can't you wait for? What makes you cringe?
What makes Star Trek relatable to the world at large???
The wait is over. The question you face is, "Which path will you choose?"
