Does anyone know what episode it was when Kirk was down on planet and the alein had a grave site ready for him and his name on the headstone was James (something) Kirk --it wasn't Tobias...Would like to see that episode again

it was in "Where No Name Has Gone Before". Towards the end, Kirk tries to stop Gary Mitchell from using his god-like powers for selfish gain. Gary almost defeats Kirk and then pulls out of nowhere a tombstone with Kirk's full name in the epitaph which reads JAMES R. KIRK: 1277.1 TO 1313.7 (follow the link to verify). Whats funny is i always thought his middle name was Tiberius, when the middle initial is an "R" so go figure. |
